After learning about the color and frequency associated with increasing levels of serotonin in the body my mind goes immediately to other hormones and how to affect them, particularly female hormones and how we might affect the way we experience menopause. Once I've done some research into this I'll be looking for women who are willing to participate in some sound healing sessions. I'm thinking a group treatment where we can talk about the experience and share outcomes and thoughts. I've not suffered particularly, at least in the ways I've heard expressed by some others. No mood-swings, no notable flurries of hot flashes, but in other ways that have been equally surprising. Anyone out there interested in pursueing this with me?

sound healing
Hi Paula: how interesting that you are pursuing this line of research and support for women. My own study has led me to exploring spirituality in mid-life;the transitions and transformations that women experience during menopause have not been perceived as "spiritual" in the main-stream belief system; I would like to help women see this time as a positive experience and not one of which to be afraid or perceive as a "disease".
I will be interested in hearing more about your finding.
All the best

Menopause
Dear Ruth,
Apologies for being offline so long. Absolutely, I agree this is a spiritual transition, more than anything. There are the outer actions we take to manage symptoms but I see every "healing crisis" as spiritual in nature. I got a little sidetracked in my studies but will hopefully be able to report some findings soon. Getting sidetracked is so typical for me in this time. I think it's because my body takes over and although my mind is fighting for it's patterned supremacy it's now having to wait its turn.
Many Blessings,
Paula
